I'm a film student and server by trade. I also write. My best friend and I are working on a graphic novel together (I'm writing and she's drawing). It's still in it's beginning stages, but we're both optimistic. Meanwhile, the whole thing is very hush-hush ;)
I read alot. The perfect recipe for summer reading: Vonnegut and Gaiman, with a little bit of Palaniuk thrown in. I also recently discovered Jonathan Safran Foer. He hasn't written alot, but his most recent book was "Incredibly Loud and Extremely Close". It is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read and I want to make it a film. (Lead character is eleven years-old and vegan.) If you have the patience for a more elaborate form of writing, I recommend it wholeheartedly.
I also watch alot of movies. I believe that you can learn as much about filmmaking by watching bad movies as you can from watching good movies, if not more. As a result, I will watch any movie once, and bad movies I tend to watch twice. My favourite educational bad movies: "In the Cut", "Tideland", "I Love Your Work" and "Be Cool".
I like music, mostly punk (both pop and old-school), industrial, metal and just really good alternative rock. I like some indie stuff, but am pretty picky. I like hip-hop, but can only listen to it awhile due to it's monotony. I just like anything innovative that I can relate to and can the difference from it and something else. Techno is not music and never will be.
I believe in recycling and in global warming. I believe that Wal-Mart is evil. I believe in life, for animals and fetuses and convicted murderers. I believe Bush is a hack who bought and cheated his way into office, but so do most politicians. I believe in equal rights for gays. I believe eating animals is as bad for you as is is for them. I believe that it is a woman's right to educate herself and better herself and not to rely on a man. I believe she has a right to stay home, even if I don't understand it. I believe in the separation of church and state, even though I go to church on Sundays and pray and read the Bible. I believe in real-world tithing; enough people give my church and not enough give to others. I believe that our nations is indicted to fast food and it scares me. I believe war is wrong. I believe that pink crap with ribbons and red technology does not make much of a difference; it's just a marketing scam. I believe that most celebrities have causes because it's popular not because they believe it.
